Car Broken Into Under Waterville Rd Bridge
A couple called the Cocke County Sheriff’s department after discovering their car had been broken into. The pair stated they had their Ford Escape under the Waterville Road bridge to go hiking and spending the night on the trail. When they got back to their vehicle the next morning, they found the back windshield and driver’s side passenger door window had been busted out with shards of glass in and around the vehicle. A large rock was sitting in the rear seat. Missing from the vehicle were numerous items including an inflatable raft for whitewater rafting, a sleeping bag, and Apple watch charger and cash along with one of the person’s ID and social security card. The sheriff’s department says at this time, they have no suspects.
