Catalytic Converter Thieves Hitting Churches

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office has put out an alert to area churches to be aware of catalytic converter thefts.

The Sheriff’s Office put out an alert to all Safe Church Task Force Teams and churches that there have been thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles in church parking lots while church services are taking place. Jefferson County police say that surrounding counties have reported similar thefts. They say Church safety teams should plan accordingly to address the risks of these potential thefts during church services.
