CCSO Looking Into Theft On Yellow Springs Rd

The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is looking into a theft on Yellow Springs Road in Cosby. Tara Vanvolkenburg of Sevierville told deputies that she had not been to her camper in Cosby since December 21. When she arrived on Saturday, January 4, the chain across her property was cut, and the door to her camper was open. Two trail cameras on the property had been taken as well as items inside and outside the trailer. Those included a walk behind trimmer, several chainsaws, a marine battery and various hand tools. Total value of the items stolen was over $4100. Vanvolkenburg stated that over the past month there has been a White Ford Ranger, Red Truck, Black Chevrolet S10 and a Black GMC Truck that have shown up on her cameras or she has seen them near her property. there are no suspects.
