Cocke County Gas Price Below State Average
Gas prices continue to be vastly different in Cocke County. At exit 435, most stations continue to be at $2.79. But three miles down the interstate at exit 432, motorists can get gas about 20 cents cheaper with the average price of $2.59. The $2.69 average in Cocke County is a little under the statewide average of $2.76.
Around the area, Greene County has the lowest average price at $2.64. Sevier County is the highest at $2.71. Hamblen County average is $2.67 while Jefferson County is $2.66.
Henry County in West Tennessee has the lowest average price in the state at $2.57. The highest is in Williamson County at $3.26. That is higher than the national average, which as of Tuesday morning (4/29) is $3.16.
The lowest gas prices in the nation remain in Mississippi at $2.67 while California remains the highest at $4.72 for a gallon of regular. The only other states above $4 a gallon are Hawaii at $4.48 and Washington State at $4.27.
