Cocke County Woman Charged With Assault

A 58 year old Cocke County woman was arrested Monday morning and charged with domestic assault. 35 year old Justin Collier says he and Lisa Hetherington had gotten into an argument regarding a mess in a camper located on Hwy 25E along Douglas Lake. Collier says that he tried to walk away from Hetherington and she grabbed him, sinking her fingernails into his arm. He admitted that he pushed her away and she fell to the ground. Deputies observed dark red lacerations on Collier that appeared to be nail scratch marks on both arms which appeared to be defensive wounds. He also had scratch marks on his stomach as well as a swollen area on the left temple, and red marks on his face caused by being struck by Hetherington, who was found to be the primary aggressor and was then taken into custody.
