Cosby & Cocke County Football Teams To Face Off

Here’s some good news for High School football fans. Coming up next month you’ll get to see the Cosby and Cocke County High School football teams on the same field…at the same time. Cosby & Cocke County have announced the first Gateway to the Smokies Football Jamboree…that will be at Larry Williams Stadium in Newport on August 13th. The Jamboree will consist of 4 quarters and will feature the Dobyns-Bennett’s high school freshman team and the pee wee football programs from Newport and Dandridge. Then final quarter will feature the varsity teams of Cosby & Cocke County facing each other for a full 12 minute quarter. So get ready for some football!
