Cosby Eagles Hosting First Round Playoff Game
The Cosby Eagles defeated North Greene 26-14 Friday night. That win put the Eagles at 5-0 in the region and solidified their spot as the number one seed in their opening bracket of the playoffs. Cosby will be hosting a first round playoff game Friday night at 7. They will host Rockwood, who finished with a record of 4-6. If the Eagles win, they would advance to round two and play the winner of Oliver Springs and Cloudland.
Other regional teams in the playoffs:
North Greene also in the Class 1A playoffs. They will travel to Harriman Friday.
South Greene has the number one seed in their opening bracket in Class 2A. They will host Tellico Plains.
In Class 3A, Gatlinburg Pittman and Pigeon Forge are both on the road for their first round games. GP travels to Kingston, while Pigeon Forge draws Alcoa in the first round.
Class 4A, Greeneville has the #1 seed in their first round bracket and will host Knoxville Carter.
Class 5A, Sevier County heads into the playoffs undefeated at 10-0, they host Knoxville Central. Morristown West will host Knoxville Halls.
Class 6A, Jefferson County travels to Bearden and Maryville hosts William Blount.
All games are Friday night, November 8.
