Deadline To Apply For Mountain Ways Assistance Is Coming Quick
Monday, November 18, is the last day to apply for assistance with the Mountain Ways Foundation if you suffered losses during the flood back on September 27 & 28. If you suffered a 100% loss of your primary residence due to the flood, you are eligible to apply for funds from Mountain Ways. The deadline to apply is midnight, November 18. If you did not suffer a 100% loss of your primary residence, but did suffer some damage, Lori Moore with Mountain Ways says you should still apply as they are working with other organizations that they could get you in touch with to help in your situation. To apply, go to the website mtnways.org and clock on the option “Get Relief”. There is also a donation option if you wish to donate funds to the Mountain Ways Foundation. Mountain Ways began distributing funds in Cocke, Greene and Hamblen counties on Friday. Other counties in the disaster area will start seeing funds dispersed on Wednesday.
The deadline to apply for funds from FEMA is also coming up fast. That date is December 7.
