Death Of Child Under Investigation In White Pine

The death of a child is under investigation in White Pine. On Wednesday, the White Pine Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, plus the White Pine Fire Department and Jefferson County EMS all responded around to a home on Harrison Road in White Pine in reference to a 5 year old special needs child in cardiac arrest. White Pine officers were on site in two minutes and found the child deceased. The child’s body has now been sent to the Knoxville Forensic Center for an autopsy. The child’s death is currently under investigation.
One person was arrested at the home where the child died, but that was on an unrelated charge.
