Deceased Body Found In Greene County…Identity Unknown

Greene County authorities are trying to find the identity of a man whose body was found in an abandoned house on Sunday. Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt says a call came into the 911 center Sunday about a man deceased in an abandoned house on Speedwell Church Rd in western Greene County near the Hawkins County line. Holt says detectives with the Greene County Sheriff’s department, along with the TBI are trying to learn the man’s identity as there was no identification on the body. The man did have some distinct tattoos…on his left hand across the fingers is the word DOUG…D-O-U-G. The words “Momma Tried” are on his lower abdomen. The body has been sent to the William L. Jenkins Forensics Center for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
