Disaster Recovery Center Hours Changing; MARC To Close

Hours are going to be changing at the Disaster Recovery Center in Cocke County and the other centers operating in the disaster area in East Tennessee. Beginning Monday, Nov. 4, all Disaster Recovery Centers will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET Monday to Saturday. Hours on Sunday will remain noon to 5 p.m. However, on Tuesday of next week, November 5, the centers will not open till noon.

Also starting on Tuesday next week, the Cocke County location will transition from a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC), which is run by the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, to a FEMA-run Disaster Recovery Center.

The other centers open in the disaster area are in Greene, Hamblen, Unicoi, Carter, Washington and Johnson Counties. The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance is Monday, Dec. 2.
