Domestic Assault Ends With 2 Arrrests

A call to police about a domestic assault wound up in the arrests of two individuals. Officers went to the home of Kimberly Burchfield who immediately began yelling at the officers. She admitted that she and her boyfriend James Locklear had been arguing. Locklear, who had a laceration on his forehead stated that Burchfield had hit him over the head with a picture frame. Officers noticed broken glass and other items that had been thrown about on the floor. Kimberly Burchfield was arrested and charged with domestic assault. James Locklear was found to have been trespassing on that property and the owner of the home wished to prosecute. So Locklear was also taken to jail charged with criminal trespass.
