Domestic Assault In Toy Department Of Wal-Mart

Police responded to the Wal-Mart on Cosby Hwy in Newport Monday about a fight in the toy department of the store. Officers were advised that the suspect was exiting the store. Officers made contact with the suspect, 29 year old Devin Keeler. He told officers that he and the victim had just been arguing and nothing physical had happened. Keeler was placed in custody while police investigated. They spoke with a witness who stated she heard two people arguing in the toy department and when she rounded the corner to the aisle, she saw a woman on the floor. That woman was 27 year old Tina Keeler. She told police that she and Devin Keeler had been arguing but he grabbled her by the neck and threw her onto the floor. Marks on her neck were consistent with her story. Devin Keeler was then arrested and charged with domestic assault.
