Don Wells Pens Letter To Possible Abductors

Summer Wells has now been missing for over 13 months. The little girl disappeared from her home in Hawkins County on June 15, 2021 around 6pm and has not been seen since. Her father, Don Wells, who is currently sitting in the Hawkins County jail, has contended that his daughter has been kidnapped. He has now released a letter that he has penned to his daughters supposed abductors. Before pleading for his daughter’s return, Wells speaks about how his family’s lives have been ruined. Wells states that his wife cannot find a job and he lost a drywalling job he’d had for 13 years. Wells states that due to suspicion against his family, they may lost everything.

Wells is currently in jail because he was arrested for DUI, which was his first, but it violated his probation from a previous charge so he had to serve the rest of his sentence. While Don Wells says his daughter was kidnapped, the TBI contends that there is no evidence to suggest that Summer Wells was abducted.
