Douglas Lake Boat Advisory Lifted
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency on Tuesday lifted the Boat Advisory for Douglas Lake. The advisory had been put in place after flooding from Tropical Storm Helene sent loads of debris, including potentially harmful chemicals into waters that feed into Douglas Lake. Back in September, a mile long boom was stretched out across the lake to catch the debris. The lifting of the Boat Advisory follows the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation lifting the water advisory that had been in effect for the Pigeon, French Broad and Nolichucky Rivers.
