Driver Has Semi Vandalized At Love’s Travel Center

Newport police responded to an early 4th of July incident at the Love’s Travel Center. A truck driver had pulled his tractor trailer just past the entrance to the travel center and went inside to speak with an attendant. That interaction took less than 20 minutes. While that was happening, an older white male entered the travel center and complained that the drivers’ tractor trailer was in the way and needed to be moved. When the driver went back out to his truck, he could not move it because someone had cut the airlines to his truck. Damages to the truck were estimated to be around $1500. The man that complained about the tractor trailer could not be found.
