Drug Arrest Over The Weekend
A woman who was a passenger in a car was arrested over the weekend on drug charges. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office says that 32 year old Lisa Ball was a passenger in a BMW that was pulled over in the parking lot of Janice’s Diner in Cosby. Ball appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. The driver gave consent for his vehicle to be searched and that search turned up a small baggie near the passenger seat that contained what appeared to be cocaine. Deputies also found two pipes used for smoking illegal drugs. Ball was arrested for possession of 1.85 grams of cocaine, plus she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. At the jail, staff found Ball also was hiding 202 grams of heroin in her underwear. She now faces a charge of possession of schedule I and introduction into a penal facility.
