Drugs The TBI Expects To See The Most In 2023
The TBI has released a list of drugs they believe they will see the most in drug arrests this year in the state. The TBI says the 313 Initiative in East Tennessee is helping them identify some of the lesser known drugs they are seeing. These are the drugs that the TBI believes they will see the most of:
10. Delta-9 THC…while delta 9 is legal in Tennessee…concentrations of 0.3% or higher of THC is illegal
9. Xylazine…that’s a powerful sedative normally used by veterinarians
8. Buprenorphine
7. Heroin
6. Flurofentanyl
5. Cocaine
4. 4ANPP…that’s a by-product of fentanyl
3. Fentanyl
2. Cannabis or marijuana
1. Methamphetamine…the TBI says in 2022, over 32% of drug arrests involved meth…but that number was down from 36% in 2021.
