Early voting Continues
One week of early voting is complete. The Early Voting site opened on Friday July 12. As of Saturday July 20, 720 registered voters have cast their ballots early. This week is the last week to vote early and hours are expanded. Monday-Friday, hours will be 9am-4:40pm. This Saturday July 27, is your final opportunity to cast your vote early. Hours Saturday will be from 8:30 till noon.
If you do not vote early, you will have to go to your regular polling place on Election Day, which is August 1. The main thing on the ballot is the republican and democratic primaries for US Senate, and the Democratic primary for the State House. Current State Representative Jeremy Faison is running unopposed on the Republican ballot.
Likewise for the four seats that are on the County General Election ballot. Those are Property Assessor and County School Board seats for Districts 3,5 and 7. All candidates for those posts are unopposed.
