East TN Death Toll Increases

The death toll from the flood caused by Hurricane Helene eleven days ago is now up to 15 in East Tennessee. The majority of those deaths coming from Unicoi County with seven.

Three in Washington County

Two in Cocke County

One in Greene County

One in Knox County

One in Johnson County

The TBI says they are currently now investigating nine missing individuals with local law enforcement agencies. One is in Cocke County. The others are five in Greene County and three in Unicoi County. There may be more missing, but these are the ones that the TBI is actively investigating.
