Evasive Suspect Finally Arrested

A man wanted for numerous crimes over the last 18 months is now behind bars. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office says a warrant was issued back in August of 2021 for 45 year old Casey Rollins. He was wanted back then on a felony probation warrant. Since that time he has racked up numerous other charges such as aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, resisting arrest and reckless driving. After evading police over the last two years, Rollins was finally captured in Cocke County on Tuesday. The Newport Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office in getting Rollins into custody. He was transported to the Cocke County jail and was then transferred to the Greene County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.
