Expect Thanksgiving To Cost More This
If you have been in the grocery stores lately, you’ve probably been taken aback from the prices you see staring back at you. Inflation is causing prices in the stores to rise dramatically. With those higher prices that means your Thanksgiving Day dinner is going to cost quite a bit more to put on the table. The American Farm Bureau Federation says prices will be higher on just about everything you will need for your dinner. How much higher? The average cost of preparing Thanksgiving dinner last year was about $47, Farm Bureau says you can expect the cost to be at least 5% higher this year…which puts the average cost at about $50 this year. With the cost of gas about $1.25 a gallon higher than last year on average…it’s going to cost more to get over the river and through the woods to Grandma’s house as well. Thanksgiving is just 4 weeks from today.
