Farmers to Families Food Distribution

Another Farmers to Families Food Distribution is scheduled for later this week in Newport. This Friday, May 21st, the USDA and Save the Children will be distributing boxes of fresh produce, meat and dairy products for families in Cocke County at no cost. These boxes will be distributed once again at the former Wal-Mart parking lot near Krystal starting at 9:30 am and continuing till noon or until boxes are gone. Cars can not begin lining up before 9:30 and must enter at the entrance near the Krystal… NOT at the traffic light. This was evidently a problem at the last distribution..so please make sure you do not line up before 9:30 and make sure you do not enter the parking lot at the stop light…but at the entrance near the Krystal.
