Fatal Shooting In Greeneville

A shooting in Greeneville yesterday has led to the deaths of two individuals. Police were called to Midway Construction & Plumbing on North Main Street Wednesday around 1pm about shots being fired. They found a woman in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. Shortly afterwards around 1:30, police in Washington County were notified about a man standing in the parking lot of the Justice Center in Jonesborough with a gun. As deputies approached the man and tried to speak with him, the man shot himself…he was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later. The TBI is investigating the fatal shootings they believe are related. The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
