FEMA In Cocke County This Week, What You Need To Know
FEMA is in the area and will be on the ground this week in Cocke County. The Cocke County Mayor’s office is warning citizens that scammers are also going to be on the ground. Many of these people will be disguising themselves as FEMA representatives. One thing to keep in mind and remember, any FEMA representative that shows up at your property will have proper identification with them, but more importantly will be accompanied by a local law enforcement officer or a Tennessee state trooper. If someone shows up on your property that claims to be from FEMA nad does not have law enforcment with them, you should report that to either the Cocke County Sheriff’s office or the Newport Police Department.
