FEMA Sending Trailers For Flood Victims
FEMA is getting ready to send more help to victims of Helene in East Tennessee. On Tuesday, FEMA announced that trailers should be arriving in East Tennessee this week. Cocke County is among those counties the trailer are coming to. FEMA says these trailers are manufactured housing units that are ready for storm victims to move into. FEMA says the delay in getting the trailers to the affected counties is due to ordering, installing and permitting each trailer. These units will be available for use till the end of March 2026, or 18 months after the disaster, which happened in September. FEMA says local governments will be in charge of filling those trailers.
