Food Thefts In The Area
The Hampton Inn on Andrew Johnson Hwy in Morristown was the victim of a theft over the weekend. The hotel manager told polcie that a man known only as Bryan somehow got into the storage room next to the kitchen area. The man walked out with a box of muffins, some cereal and milk. The manager said that Bryan is a white man with a number tattoo on his neck.
A similar situation happening at the Huddle House in Newport over the weekend. Time Out employees say Saturday night after the Huddle House had closed a male subject who was recognized as a former employee of the restaurant came in and asked if the Huddle House was closed. A few minutes later the Time Out employee saw the male coming out of the Huddle House. When confronted, the male took off running away from the building. Sunday morning the manager of Huddle House pulled up video footage and saw former employee Donald Jenkins enter the Huddle House and go straight back to the freezer area, then as he was leaving something fell from his pants and he stopped and picked it up then left. The manager said after checking the freezer she noticed 10 Ribeye steaks were missing from her inventory. Police estimate the value of the steaks to be around $200.00. A warrant has been issued for theft for Donald Jenkins.
