Ford F-150 Pickup Goes Up In Flames
Police and fire crews responded to a vehicle fire over the weekend in Cocke County. 23 year old Jordan Shelton told a sheriff’s deputy that he was in the truck leaving his home when he noticed smoke start coming out from under the hood. Shelton stated he then parked the vehicle and was able to get out before the truck went up in flames. He stated he had just bought the 2016 Ford F-150 and that there was not anything thing wrong with it that he knew of. The truck was completely engulfed in flames before crews arrived. The flames were put out, but the truck was a total loss.
Ford has just recently recalled 2021-23 model Ford F-150 pickups. The automobile manufacturer says the parking brake can engage on its own while the driver is operating the vehicle.
