Funeral Arrangements Made For Man Killed In Road Rage Incident
Funeral arrangements have been made for a White Pine man killed in a road rage incident early Monday morning. 20 year old Jordan Price was killed around 5:20 am Monday after an incident on Roy Messer Highway. According to police, the argument between Jordan Price and 59 year old Derwin Wilds of Newport, ended when Price got out of his car and approached Wilds’ vehicle. That is when Wilds shot Price with a .40 caliber handgun. Price would be pronounced dead later at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
Wilds stayed at the scene till police arrived. He is charged with Voluntary Manslaughter and is being held in the Jefferson County Detention Center in Dandridge. He is expcted to make his first appearance in court on October 3.
Jordan Price leaves behind a fiance and a 15 month old child. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Monday, September 30, at Mayes Mortuary in Morristown, with service to follow at 7:00pm. Interment will be at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Russelville on Tuesday, October 1 at 11am.
