Giant Potato Invading East Tennessee
A giant potato is making its way across the country and is in Tennessee. The huge four ton potato is being transported across the country on a 72 foot flat bed semi. It’s a promotional tour for the Idaho Potato Commission. The giant spud was in the Tri-Cities area over the weekend and will be making an appearance nearby. The giant potato will be at Kroger in Sevierville on Wednesday from 10am-1pm.
Now this is actually not a real potato. The Idaho Potato Commission says it would take 7,000 years to grow a potato this big. But, if it were real, it would be equal to 21,562 medium sized potatoes and would make 21,217 servings of mashed potatoes, or better yet, over 1 million french fries.
