Greeneville Woman Pleads Guilty In Monkey Abuse Case
A Greenville woman has now plead guilty for her part in creating and distributing videos of “extreme violence and sexual abuse against monkeys”. Katrina Favret pleaded guilty last week in Greene County to conspiracy to create and distribute animal crush videos and creation of an animal crush video.
According to the US Department of Justice, Favret conspired with others to create and distribute videos “depicting acts of sadistic violence against baby and adult monkeys,”. The Department of Justice says that chat apps were used to direct money to groups in Indonesia that were willing to commit the acts of torture on camera. Those videos, called animal crush videos were then distributed by Favret and Robert M. Craig, of North Carolina, along with their co-conspirator Ronald P. Bedra, of Etna, Ohio. She will be sentenced later. Bedra was recently sentenced to 54 months in prison.
