GSCO Searching For Missing Man

The Greene County Sheriff’s office is searching for a missing man. According to Michelle Holt with the sheriff’s office, 60-year-old Danny Smith was last seen around Sunday night, Jan. 5 around 11 p.m. on Mulberry Road, which is off Baileyton Road, state route 172. The family reportedly told GSCO that Smith has severe Alzheimer’s, though he has not officially been diagnosed. He is believed to have left on foot and it is not known which direction he left in.

Danny Smith is a white male, 6′ 1″ tall, 140 pounds with gray hair and green eyes. He was last seen blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt, with a maroon top over the sweatshirt. The TBI has now issued a Silver Alert for Danny Smith.
