GSMNP Starts Winter Road Closures

As we head into the last weeks of the year with cold weather around the corner, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has begun closing roads for the season. Closed as of Monday, November 11, are Parson Branch and Rich Mountain Road. Kuhowi Road, formerly Clingman’s Dome Road, will close for the winter on December 1. That will be followed by the closures of the Roaring Fork Motor Trail and the Little Greenbrier Road the next day on December 2. Those roads will remain closed till late March or early April.
