Hawkins County Girl Missing

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an “endangered child alert” concerning a missing 5 year old girl in Hawkins County. Authorities are looking for the little girl named Summer Wells…she was last seen Tuesday around 7pm walking away from her home on Ben Hill Road in the Beech Creek Area of Hawkins County. Crews from the Sheriff’s office and numerous volunteer fire departments looked for the girl till it got to dark last night. They are resuming that search for her this morning. Summer Wells is 5 years old…4-feet tall, has blonde hair, and was last seen wearing a pink shirt and gray shorts. Besides Hawkins County authorities, THP, the TBI and FBI are among those involved in this search.
