Hot Springs NC Man Charged In Drive-By Shooting

A Madison County, North Carolina man is in jail after being arrested for a drive-by shooting in Hot Springs on Saturday. Deputies responded to the scene of a shooting at around 1am Saturday morning where they found the victim suffering from a gunshoit wound. The suspect, Wilburn Larry Barker, was spotted driving in Hot Springs later on Saturday. Deputies attempted to pull Barker over, but he fled in his vehicle. Barker was soon caught though and was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession a firearm by a felon and fleeing the scene.
