House Broken Into On New Cave Church Road
The Cocke County sheriff’s office was called out to a residence on New Cave Church Road on Sunday. Benjamin Myers stated he was the executor of the estate the property was part of. Myers stated that someone had broken into the home and the back door was wide open. Deputy Rodney Hazelwood cleared the home which had been ransacked with items scattered all across the home. Hazelwood also a noticed crow bar in front of a safe. The crowbar had been used to try and gain access into the safe but the suspect or suspects were unsuccessful. Myers stated that two motorcycles had been stolen from an outbuilding as the lock had been broken off that building. Myers was not sure of just how much had been taken from the property. So far, there are no suspects in that break-in.
