JCSO Investigating White Pine Shooting

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a fatal weekend shooting in White Pine. Deputies were called Saturday afternoon to an address on Beth Carr Road around 1:30pm Saturday. Deputies found one person dead from a gunshot. The shooter was also on scene and was taken into custody. Identities of the shooter and the deceased have not yet been released as that investigation continues.
