Johnson City Man Arraigned For Murder
A Johnson City man was arraigned yesterday afternoon on charges of second degree murder. 23 year old Randy Canter is accused of shooting 22 year old Joshua Alexander early Monday morning in a dispute about stolen property. Canter shot Alexander one time in the chest…Alexander died later at a nearby hospital. Canter asked judge Janet Hardin to reduce his $100,000 bond but she refused to do so. Hardin appointed Canter a public defender to represent him in the case. Canter is expected back in court on Thursday to make an appearance with his attorney…at that time the request for bond will be discussed. Alexander leaves behind a 2 year old daughter.
