Joint Narcotics Investigation Leads to Michigan Man’s Arrest
A joint Narcotics investigation has led to the arrest of a Michigan man in East Tennessee. The investigation was a joint effort between the Cocke County and Jefferson County Sheriff’s offices as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Bean Station Police Department.
30-year-old Marcus Kirk, of Detroit, was pulled over in Jefferson County on Tuesday after authorities saw him provide a dealer with suspected methamphetamine and heroin. That led investigators to a home in Jefferson County where authorities found approximately 430 pills of Oxycodone along with what they describe as pounds of suspected narcotics. Also seized was $3,400 in cash. Kirk is being held in the Jefferson County Detention Center in Dandridge on a $500,000 bond.
