Knox County Teen Facing Several Charges
A Knox County teen is facing several charges after leading police on a high speed pursuit, then ramming two patrol cruisers. Pigeon Forge Police say they began pursuing a Honda Civic around 4:00 am Sunday morning after seeing it speeding. The pursuit got to the Sevierville city Limits where Sevierville Police and Sevier County deputies took over. The driver of the Honda Civic was reported driving at speeds of 100 mph on the parkway and was all over the road. The driver of the Honda lost control of the vehicle and then rammed into a patrol car. He then collided with another patrol cruiser, injuring a police officer. The teenage driver then tries to get away again, putting his vehicle in reverse where he struck a third patrol car. This time the Honda Civic was disabled. The driver, 18 year old Danni Nunez Osorto, was pulled from the vehicle. He is charged with Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Driving, Vehicular Assault, Evading Arrest and DUI. Osorto told police he had been at a party in Gatlinburg and had been drinking. The officer injured was treated and released at Leconte Medical Center.
