Law Enforcement Closes Stairway To Heroin
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office along with the Newport Police Department and the ATF have closed down what the sheriff’s calls the “Stairway To Heroin”. Thursday morning, law enforcement exsecuted a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Brisk Way due to a narcotics investigation involving the sale of Heroin, fentanyl, and meth. During that operation, arrests were made along with, drug seizures, gun seizure, and money seizure. Brisk Way is off of Dark Hollow Road in Cosby.
44 year old Jackie Wilson was arrested an chargehd with Unlawful Possession of a handgun, Possession of a handgun during the commission of a dangerous felony, Possession of methamphetamine with intent and 3 counts of possession of Heroin,Meth and Marijuana.
Also arrested:
David Shults age 56, was arrested on the following charges. Possession of methamphetamine with intent to sale and deliver.
Kelly Roberts age 36, was arrested on a capais, drug paraphernalia, and sale and delivery of drugs.
Daniel Messer age 34 was arrested on a violation of probation.
Police seized 127.3 grams of a crystal rock substance suspected to be methamphetamine; 4.3 grams of suspected heroin; A suspected LSD strip; A gram of suspected Marijuana.
A .9MM handgun was seized with ammunition as well as $843 in cash.
