Lee In Support Of Trump’s Deportation Plan

Governor Bill Lee says he agrees with President-Elect Donald Trump’s plan to deport illegal immigrants. During the Biden Administration, illegal immigration has skyrocketed with an estimated 8-10 million illegals streaming across the southern border of the United States since the summer of 2021.

Part of Trump’s plan is to use the National Guard. 26 Republican governors across the country are banding together to support that plan. Governor Bill Lee is one of those 26 governors. Governor Lee issued a statement that said in part that “President Trump was elected based on the ideas he put forth, and the people clearly believed his ideas were good ones…and he should follow through with what he promised he would do for the American people.” Lee went on to say..” I have asked key state agencies to begin making preparations & stand ready on Day 1 to support President Trump’s efforts to secure our Nation’s borders & keep communities safe”

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that illegal immigration cost the state of Tennessee close to one billion dollars last year alone for things like healthcare, education and law enforcement and corrections costs.
