Local Fire Departments Help In Dandridge Fire

Two Cocke County fire departments were among nine agencies that responded to a major fire at a home on Wine Road in Dandridge on Sunday. The 3,000 sq. ft. two story home caught on fire just after 5pm Sunday. The Cocke County and Parrottsville fire departments joined fellow firefighting agencies in battling that blaze, which totally destroyed the home. Othe agencies that battled that fire were Dandridge, White Pine, South Hamblen and Chesnut Hill. The cause of that fire is under investigation. It is believed that a lawnmower parked under the home’s deck may have been cause.
