Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault

Cocke County deputies were called out to a home in Del Rio over the weekend in response to a domestic situation. Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim, Robin Norwood. She stated her husband…48 year old Kenny Norwood had been drinking and they had gotten into an argument. After she went to bed, she was awakened by her husband yelling and hitting her. She realized he was hitting her with a knife, causing cuts to her arms and hands. She was able to get the knife away and call police. Kenny Norwood told police that nothing had happened. He was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated assault.
