Man Arrested For Stabbing In Bybee
The Cocke County Sheriff’s office arrested a man Wednesday morning regarding a stabbing. A call had come into 911 about a man walking down Hwy 160 waving a flashlight at passing vehicles. A sheriff’s deputy found the man, 57 year old David Ellison, walking and waving a flashlight on Hwy 160 near the Hwy 321 intersection. Ellison had been stabbed in the cheek and shoulder. He described the weapon as being a butcher knife with an 8-12 inch blade. Deputies were able to determine that the attack took place at a motor home parked at 1201 Red Hill Road.
A man inside the motor home stated that Anthony Fowler had been the one who stabbed Ellison, but Fowler had taken off on foot. Fowler was located by deputies on Bybee Road near the intersection with Holt Town Road. The knife used in the attack was found on Fowler. He was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault. Ellison, the victim, was transported to the Newport Medical Center to be treated.
