Man Breaks Into Apartment

A man is in custody after he broke into an apartment Tuesday night in Newport, with residents inside. Two women told police that a man, now identified as 22 year old Tray Turner entered their apartment through the front door. The women stated that Turner asked them if he could clean for money. When told no and to leave, Turner pulled out drugs, which he then snorted off a table, he then exited the apartment. A neighbor that saw the man identified him as Turner. Early this morning, Turner was spotted in the area of Newport Grammar School. He was arrested and taken to the Cocke County jail where he has been charged with Aggravated Burglary.
