Man Enters Home With Gun…SWAT Team Responds
The Cocke County SWAT team was dispatched to a home on Brady Road after a man with a gun entered that residence. The homeowner, David Stokely told deputies that he was working in his garden when a man walked onto his property with a gun and fired it in the air. Stokely said the man was talking out of his head. Stokely then stated that the man who was later identified as 33 year old Garrett Cameron walked into Stokely’s residence and refused to come out. Deputies surrounded the house and ordered Cameron to come out but he refused several times. The SWAT team arrived and a short time later, Cameron was spotted coming out the back door of the home. He was eventually taken to the ground by deputies. A search of Cameron found a Ruger .40 caliber handgun on his person with 12 live rounds. A box of 36 live rounds was found in his hoodie. Garrett Cameron was charged with reckless endangerment involving a deadly weapon.
