Man Gets Away With $53,000 Truck From Morristown Dealership

Imagine a car dealership taking a check for a truck…watching that truck drive off the lot…then find out the check is no good. It happened at Chevrolet of Morristown last week. A man identified as Cade Amyx of Rogersville bought a black 2016 Chevy 3500 dually pickup and wrote a check to the dealership for $53,543. But, before the dealership could get the check to the bank…Amyx went to US Bank and closed his account. Sticking Chevrolet of Morristown for over $53,000. Amyx had posted on a facebook account that he was on his way to Canada. The vehicle and Amyx have been placed into the nationwide crime database known as NCIC.
