Man Hit By Train In Morristown

Sunday evening police in Morristown say a man was hit by a train in Morristown. According to reports, around 6 p.m. Sunday, a man identified as 34 year old Antone Romanov, was standing on the railroad tracks near the Haun Drive crossing when he was struck by a westbound Norfolk Southern train. Romanov was taken to the Morristown Hamblen ER where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries. The incident is still under investigation. As of now, police have no idea why Romanov was standing on the tracks when the train approached.
