Man Hits Gas Pump At Zoomers

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Morristown man after he ran into a gas pump at a Zoomers in Newport. Employees at the Zoomers on Cosby Hwy at I-40 told police that a man in a white 2005 Jeep backed into one of the fuel pumps. The driver of the jeep, who has since been identified as 38 year old Justin Brooks, agreed to wait on police. He was given a notebook by an employee to write down his contact information. Brooks however, left before police arrived and took the notebook with him. Security camera footage did catch his license plate which led to his being identified. According to Zoomer’s employee, the fuel pump that was run into had internal damage and cannot be repaired but will have to be replaced at a cost of $28,000.

Hamblen county authorities have been notified that Brooks is now wanted in Cocke County on a charge of Vandalism over $1,000.
